Fanfiction
So far, the only contributions has been to Blizzard’s Global Writing Contest, which I entered back in April 2009, and again in August 2010.
I ended up being quite fond of my first piece – “A Change of Ways” – even though I didn’t win. It was set in the World of Warcraft universe, which I’m the most into and know the most about. Since I always like to get some feedback, I thought it would be fitting to give it a page of its own, instead of just being another post in the bunch. Since I plan to continue the story eventually – and got a good plot stored somewhere for it – I’ll be posting it on this page. However, it’s clashing a bit with the way the story goes with the Cataclysm expansion, it will be further postponed, and won’t be on my top priorities.
For the next round, I went into the Diablo universe, and tried to make a good tie-in of the two first games, with settings familiar to those that had played the game. It was both a challenge and a relief to have a lot less lore and timelines to deal with, which in the end made me even more satisfied with the result. It deals with some of the same things as “A Change of Ways” did, but in a more subtle matter, and had me experimenting with multiple plots from different persons at the same time. Overall, “Purpose” is quite a good read, in my own eyes. Feedback for that can be posted at the original post.
Tanek:
“The tale of Tanek the tauren shaman, who is tormented with nightmares, and has felt it increasingly hard to communicate with the elements. He journeys out to find answers…”

Purpose:
“After the defeat of Diablo beneath Tristram, Etophir – a paladin of Westmarch – travels east to find out more about the order of paladins, that seemed to have been turned to fight his kingdom. As his journey out-folds, he’s given a whole new view on what corruption can really do.”
